About Wayne Perry

Wayne Perry is the Federal Practice Lead at Tevora. Wayne guides clients in strengthening their cybersecurity posture through integrated strategies that align mission objectives with cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance requirements. His expertise spans Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), DevSecOps, Zero Trust Architecture, and Security Program Development, with deep experience implementing frameworks including FedRAMP, FISMA, CMMC, and NIST CSF

Notable Accomplishments

Wayne began his career in systems engineering before transitioning into cybersecurity after 911, where his passion for risk-based analysis and secure system design became the foundation of his leadership approach. Over the course of his career, he has authored federal frameworks, white papers, and methodologies that have shaped how agencies approach continuous monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, boundary definition, and compliance modernization.

He has played key roles in advancing Risk Management Framework (RMF) modernization efforts, CDM integration, and ATO/cATO migrations aligned with the latest NIST publications, including SP 800-37 (RMF), SP 800-53 Rev. 5, SP 800-171, SP 800-60, and SP 800-122. Wayne’s work has helped organizations improve security categorization accuracy, strengthen CUI/PII protection, and enhance operational resilience through proactive risk management and control optimization.

Beyond his professional achievements, Wayne is a mentor and advocate for continuous learning in cybersecurity, often helping emerging professionals and cross-functional leaders understand the intersection of policy, technology, and mission risk.
